Miami’s Katerina Stewart gets to semis of U.S. Open juniors

Miami’s Katerina Stewart, a 17-year-old who needed a wild card to get into the main draw of the U.S. Open junior tournament, beat Greet Minnen of Belgium 6-2, 6-0 in the quarterfinals on Friday. Stewart will face ninth-seeded Anhelina Kalinina of the Ukraine in Saturday’s semifinals in Flushing Meadows, New York.
